Body Fat Monitors
Body Fat & Body Composition Monitoring: Body composition can be measured through a variety of direct and non-direct methods. Skin fold callipers, bioelectrical impedance analysis and ultrasound are some of the many ways to assess body composition.
Measuring the composition of the body allows for different components such as fat percentage, fat free mass percentage and total body water to be calculated. This provides crucial information regarding an individuals physical form and health status. It enables individuals to monitor the effects of a weight management program to observe if the changes are due to elevations or reductions in fat mass, fat free mass or total body water.
